Dakhla, Western Sahara

Dakhla (Arabic: الداخلة, lit. 'The Peninsula', Hassaniyya: [ˌəd.daːχlə] ; founded as Villa Cisneros) is a city in the disputed territory of Western Sahara, and has been occupied by Morocco since 1976. It is the capital of the claimed Moroccan administrative region Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab.
