A Dampfnudel (German pronunciation: [ˈdamp͡fˌnuːdl̩] ; lit. 'steam noodle'; plural Dampfnudeln, Alsatian: Dampfnüdel) is a dumpling eaten as a meal or as a dessert in Southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and in France (Alsace-Moselle). It is a typical dish in southern Germany.
