Dictionary of American Regional English

The Dictionary of American Regional English (DARE) is a record of regional variations within American English, published in five volumes from 1985 to 2012 and based on data mostly collected in the 1960s. It differs from other dictionaries in that it does not document the standard language used throughout the country.
