A didukh (Ukrainian: дідух [d⁽ʲ⁾iˈdux]), is a Ukrainian and Polish Christmas decoration; made from a sheaf of wheat, it is a symbolic sacrifice taken from the autumn harvest. "Didukh" literally means "grandfather spirit".
