Phosphorus (Ancient Greek: Φωσφόρος, romanized: Phōsphóros) is the god of the planet Venus in its appearance as the Morning Star. Another Greek name for the Morning Star is "Eosphorus" (Ancient Greek: Ἑωσφόρος, romanized: Heōsphóros), which means "dawn-bringer".
