Ernst Boetticher
Ernst Boetticher (German: Ernst Carl August Christian Richard Boetticher; 30 July 1842 – 1 February 1930) was a Prussian Army soldier and journalist, best known as Heinrich Schliemann’s opponent. He began his military career at the age of 18 and took part in the Austro-Prussian and Franco-Prussian wars, where he was awarded the Iron Cross, Second Class.
