Ethanol fuel in the United States

The United States became the world's largest producer of ethanol fuel in 2005. The U.S. produced 15.8 billion U.S. liquid gallons of ethanol fuel in 2019, up from 13.9 billion gallons (52.6 billion liters) in 2011, and from 1.62 billion gallons in 2000.
