Event-driven process chain
The event-driven process chain (EPC) is a graphical modeling language for representing an organization's business processes in business process modeling/representation of process organization (workflows and work steps) in business mapping. It was developed in 1992 by Gerhard Keller, Markus Nüttgens and August-Wilhelm Scheer at Saarland University in Saarbrücken as part of a research project with SAP SE for the semi-formal description of business processes.
