Executive Council of the Province of Canada

The Executive Council of the Province of Canada was the cabinet of the colonial government of the United Province of Canada, the polity in existence between 1841 and 1867. The council was not initially accountable to the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada, the legislature of the colony, but answered only to the Governor-General of the Province of Canada.
