Conservative estimates reported by ophthalmologists in November 2022 stated there had been 580 confirmed cases of significant eye injuries during the 2022 Woman, Life, Freedom protests triggered by the death-in-custody of Mahsa "Jina" Amini. The actual number of injuries is likely much higher.
