Fall of communism in Albania

The fall of communism in Albania was the collapse of one-party communist rule in Albania between 1990 and 1992. It formed part of the wider Revolutions of 1989, although Albania's transition occurred later than most other states of the Eastern Bloc because of the country's extreme political isolation and the highly repressive character of communist Albania.
