False or misleading statements by Donald Trump (first term)

During his first term as President of the United States, Donald Trump made tens of thousands of false or misleading claims. During the first two-and-a-half years (January 2017–June 2019), the Toronto Star tallied 5,276 false claims, an average of six per day.
