Fecal microbiota transplant
Fecal microbiota transplant (FMT), also known as a stool transplant, is the process of transferring fecal bacteria and other microbes from a healthy individual into an unhealthy individual. FMT is an effective treatment for Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI).
