Four big families of the Republic of China
The four big families (Chinese: 四大家族; pinyin: sì dà jiāzú) are four politically influential families in the Republic of China, first in Mainland China, then Taiwan. The concept was believed to be coined by Chen Boda, who alleged that the four families amassed approximately 20 billion US dollars during the Second Sino-Japanese War.
