Freedom of Speech (painting)

Freedom of Speech is the first of the Four Freedoms, a series of oil paintings by Norman Rockwell, inspired by United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt's 1941 State of the Union address, known as Four Freedoms. The painting was published in the February 20, 1943, issue of The Saturday Evening Post with a matching essay by Booth Tarkington.
