French Freemasonry during the interwar period

During the interwar period, French Freemasonry entered a phase of both renewed engagement and internal reflection following the First World War. The two main obediences, the Grand Orient de France and the Grande Loge de France, maintained a relationship characterized by both cooperation and rivalry.
