GLP-1 receptor agonist
Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists, also known as GLP-1 agonists, GLP-1RAs, and informally as simply GLP-1s, are a class of medications that activate the GLP-1 receptor, causing reduced blood sugar, reduced appetite, and reduced energy intake. GLP-1 analogs are molecules that are structurally almost identical to the endogenous GLP-1 hormone.
