Gendarmerie Intelligence Organization

The Gendarmerie Intelligence Organization (Turkish: Jandarma İstihbarat Teşkilatı, JİT) or the Gendarmerie Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism (Jandarma İstihbarat ve Terörle Mücadele, JİTEM) is the intelligence department of the Turkish Gendarmerie. JİTEM was active in the Kurdish–Turkish conflict.
