Gender minorities and the LDS Church

Transgender people and other gender minorities currently face restrictions in membership, and in access to priesthood and temple rites in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church)—Mormonism's largest denomination. All transgender people, even those who have only socially transitioned without gender-affirming surgery, are ineligible to join the LDS Church via baptism as of 2024.
