Gnocco fritto

The gnocco fritto (Italian: [ˈɲɔkko ˈfritto]) or crescentina (Italian: [kreʃʃenˈtiːna]) is an Italian bread from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, prepared using flour, water, and lard as its primary ingredients. Cracklings are sometimes used in its preparation as well.
