Gonbad-e Kavus

Gonbad-e Kabus (Persian: گنبد قابوس) is a city in the Central District of Gonbad-e Kavus County, Golestan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. The modern name is a reference to an imposing ancient tower, the Tomb of Qabus.
