Great Mainz Jupiter Column

The Great Mainz Jupiter Column is a civilian monument erected in the second half of the 1st century in Mogontiacum (present-day Mainz) in honor of the Roman god Jupiter. It is the oldest, largest, and most elaborate Jupiter column discovered to date in the German-speaking region.
