Egyptian Greeks
The Egyptian Greeks, also known as Egyptiots (Greek: Αιγυπτιώτες, romanized: Eyiptiótes) or simply Greeks in Egypt (Greek: Έλληνες της Αιγύπτου, romanized: Éllines tis Eyíptou), are the ethnic Greek community in Egypt with a history dating back to the Hellenistic period. Historically concentrated in Alexandria, the community was one of the largest and most influential foreign populations in the country.
