Haemophilus aegyptius

Haemophilus aegyptius (synonym Haemophilus influenzae biogroup aegyptius, abbreviated Hae) is a causative agent of acute and often purulent conjunctivitis, more commonly known as pink eye. It was discovered independently by Koch and Weeks in the 1880s.
