The Hello Kitty murder case took place in Hong Kong in the spring of 1999, when a nightclub hostess was abducted in Lai Yiu Estate, and subsequently raped and tortured to death in an apartment in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. 23-year-old Fan Man-yee (樊敏儀; Fàahn Máhn-yìh) was held captive by three men and one woman before dying between 14 and 15 April 1999.
