Hermann Voss (art historian)

Hermann Voss (born July 30, 1884, in Lüneburg; died April 28, 1969, in Munich) was a German art historian and museum director appointed by Hitler to acquire art, much of it looted by Nazis, for Hitler's planned Führermuseum in Linz, Austria. He is also credited with rediscovering Georges de La Tour, one of France’s greatest 17th-century painters.
