History of computer hardware in Yugoslavia

To protect domestic production from foreign competition, which was often done to an excessive degree and to the detriment of the local consumer and industry, the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY) enforced strict import regulations. These restrictions had a role in the development of the computer industry in this country, other than in the Western world.
