Hong Kong–United Kingdom relations

Hong Kong–United Kingdom relations are the international relations between the post-colonial Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. Hong Kong was a British colony from 1841 to 1997 (except for a brief period of Japanese occupation during the Second World War) when sovereignty was handed over to China.
