Hu Jintao removal incident
On 22 October 2022, Hu Jintao, former general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (2002–2012), was unexpectedly escorted out of the closing ceremony of the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. He was pulled from his seat by two men following the instructions of the incumbent general secretary, Xi Jinping.
