Human trafficking in France

Women and children from Eastern Europe, West Africa, and Asia, as well as from the Caribbean and Brazil, are subjected to trafficking in persons, forced prostitution and forced labor. The U.S. State Department's Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons placed France in its "Tier 1" category in 2017.
