Human trafficking in Malaysia

Malaysia ratified the 2000 UN TIP Protocol in February 2009. In 2014, Malaysia was a destination and a source and transit country for women and children subjected to trafficking in persons, specifically conditions of forced prostitution and for men, women, and children who were in conditions of forced labour.
