Human trafficking in Oman

Oman ratified the 2000 UN TIP Protocol in May 2005. In 2010, Oman was a destination and transit country for men and women, primarily from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, and Indonesia, some of whom were subjected to trafficking in persons, specifically conditions indicative of forced labor.
