Human trafficking in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) ratified the 2000 UN TIP Protocol in October 2005. In 2010, the country was a source and destination country for men, women, and children subjected to trafficking in persons, specifically conditions of forced labor and forced prostitution.
