2009 Atlantic hurricane season

The 2009 Atlantic hurricane season was a below-average Atlantic hurricane season that was the first since 1997 to feature less than 10 tropical storms. Overall, the season produced eleven tropical cyclones, nine named storms, three hurricanes, and two major hurricanes.
