Indonesian National Police

The Indonesian National Police (Indonesian: Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia, lit. 'State Police of the Republic of Indonesia', abbreviated as POLRI) is the national law enforcement and police force of the Republic of Indonesia. Founded on 19 August 1945 and became an independent agency on 1 July 1946, it was formerly a branch of the country's military after 1962.
