Information assurance vulnerability alert

An information assurance vulnerability alert (IAVA) is an announcement of a computer application software or operating system vulnerability notification in the form of alerts, bulletins, and technical advisories identified by the U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) systems. These selected vulnerabilities are relevant to the mandated baseline, or minimum configuration, of all hosts residing on the Global Information Grid.
