Intel QuickPath Interconnect

The Intel QuickPath Interconnect (QPI) is a scalable processor interconnect developed by Intel which replaced the front-side bus (FSB) in Xeon, Itanium, and certain desktop platforms starting in 2008. It increased the scalability and available bandwidth.
