International Charter of Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport
The International Charter of Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport is a rights-based document which was adopted by member states of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), on 18 November 2015 during the 38th session of the UNESCO General Conference. This document is the legitimate successor of the International Charter of Physical Education and Sport, originally adopted in 1978, during the 20th General Conference of UNESCO. The original Charter, which was amended in 1991, was the first rights-based document to state that "the practice of physical education and sport is a fundamental right for all".
