Internet addiction disorder

Internet addiction disorder (IAD) is characterized by excessive or poorly controlled preoccupations, urges, or behaviors regarding computer use and Internet access that lead to impairment or distress. Young people are at particular risk of developing internet addiction disorder, and increased access to the Internet may cause students' academic performance to decline.
