Interstitial cystitis (IC) or bladder pain syndrome (BPS), is chronic pain in the bladder and pelvic floor of unknown cause. Symptoms include feeling the need to urinate right away, needing to urinate often, bladder pain (pain in the organ) and pain with sex.
