Islamic Republic of Iran Navy

The Islamic Republic of Iran Navy (IRIN; Persian: نیروی دریایی ارتش جمهوری اسلامی ایران, romanized: Nirū-yē Dəryâyi-yē Ərtēš-ē Žomhūri-yē Ēslâmi-yē Irân, abbreviated NEDAJA; Persian: نداجا), also referred to as the Iranian Navy or the Artesh, is the naval warfare branch of Iran's regular Islamic Republic of Iran Armed Forces. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, formed after the 1979 revolution, also has a Navy.
