James A. Porter Colloquium on African American Art

The James A. Porter Colloquium on African American Art and Art of the African Diaspora is an annual event hosted and sponsored by Howard University. James Porter is recognized as the "Father of African American art history." His book, Modern Negro Art, is the first comprehensive study of African American Art in the United States.
