The January 2–4, 2014 North American blizzard was a major winter storm that affected much of the East Coast with snow, and frigid temperatures following the storm. The storm, unofficially referred to as Winter Storm Hercules by the Weather Channel, had dumped up to 2 ft (0.61 m) of snow in some areas, especially around Boston, Massachusetts.
