Japan-Vietnam relations (Japanese: 日越関係, romanized: Nichi Etsu kankei; Vietnamese: Quan hệ Việt-Nhật) are friendly, stretching over many centuries. Both countries belonged to the Sinosphere and shared early cultural exchanges since as early as the 8th century.
