James Iovine ( EYE-ə-veen; born March 11, 1953) is an American entrepreneur, former record executive, and media proprietor. He co-founded Interscope Records in 1990, and served as chairman and CEO of Interscope Geffen A&M, an umbrella music unit formed by Universal Music Group, from 1999 to 2014.
