Jonathan Bryan Toews ( TAYVZ; born April 29, 1988) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played as a centre for the Chicago Blackhawks and Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL), serving as the captain of the Blackhawks from 2008 to 2023.
