Kansas City Chiefs name controversy
The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the professional sports teams involved in the controversy regarding the use of Native American names and imagery, but received less attention than other teams until 2013. That year, fan behavior at games–including the wearing of stereotypical headdresses and face paint, and the performance of a "war chant" and a tomahawk chop–became more publicly known.
