Kīlauea Iki ("Little Kilauea") is a volcanic crater next to the main summit caldera of Kīlauea on the island of Hawaiʻi in the Hawaiian Islands. Shaped like a pit, the crater existed prior to its most recent eruption, which occurred from 14 November to 19 December 1959.
