Killing of Rayshard Brooks

On the night of June 12, 2020, Rayshard Brooks, a 27-year-old black American man, was confronted by officers of the Atlanta Police Department (APD) and was shot by APD officer Garrett Rolfe. APD officer Devin Brosnan was responding to a complaint that Brooks was asleep in a car in a Wendy's restaurant drive-through lane.
