Kroeung (Khmer: គ្រឿង, romanized: krœăng, IPA: [krɨəŋ]) is a word for a number of spice/herb pastes that make up the base flavors of many Khmer dishes. Such dishes are often dubbed with the "-kroeung" suffix.
